JOB DESCRIPTION: Web Developer with SEO experience (Mid-Level)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mid-Level Web Developer with significant experience in developing on the Wix platform for both back-end and front-end development, including creating website themes and plugins. The candidate should have a strong understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment, as well as SEO experience, to join our dynamic team.

As a Mid-Level Web Developer, you will be responsible for ensuring the design, development, and optimization of our cloud-based technology solutions using the Wix or other platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including the SEO Team, to develop and implement effective web development and search engine optimization strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage all aspects of website development, including managing, building, and optimizing WIX or other sites.
  • Oversee website management and assist the SEO Team in technical aspects of SEO to ensure high search engine rankings and effective marketing.
  • Implement front-end development using Wix or other sites, as well as HTML 5, CSS, and jQuery.
  • Identify areas for website improvement and develop functionalities from start to finish.
  • Ensure mobile optimization and responsive design, including touch screen optimization, Retina/High-DPI optimization, and small-screen optimized navigation.
  • Integrate third-party web applications with WIX or other sites.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure websites meet both user needs and business requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2-4 years of experience with WIX, including a solid understanding and practical experience with SEO strategies and best practices.
  • Proficiency in front-end development with HTML 5, CSS, and jQuery.
  • Experience managing and building WIX sites with a focus on SEO outcomes.
  • Knowledge of WordPress (plugin/theme development/API), PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and on-page SEO factors.
  • Strong experience with mobile-responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Proficiency in Wix Studio and Velo Code.
  • Strong command of CSS for web styling.
  • Experience with Lovable, Shopify, and WordPress platforms.
  • Familiarity with web development in various environments.
  • Good to have: In-depth knowledge of SEO and SEM, experience with tools & libraries like jQuery, CSS grids, HTML5 Boilerplate, and third-party APIs, and the ability to analyze SEO metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.

  • Start-up experience.
  • Experience working virtually and with a virtual team.
